John Shin, Senior G10 FX Strategist
John Shin joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 2008 as a Senior G10 FX Strategist, based in New York. In this capacity he is responsible for the flagship monthly publication, World At A Glance, and is the Bank’s Chief G10 Currency Economist. Prior to joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Mr. Shin was a G10 FX strategist at Lehman Brothers in New York. Beyond his role as a strategist, John was a US economist on the Lehman Brothers Global Economics research team. John was also a postdoctoral research fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research in Cambridge, MA; and worked at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C. in their Macroeconomic and Quantitative Studies Section. John holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University, where he was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow; and a BA in Economics with High Distinction from the University of California at Berkeley.
Bill Garrett, FX Origination
Bill Garrett is a Vice President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Global Rates and Currencies Group in San Francisco. He works with clients to help understand and manage the risks associated with currency movements. Bill joined BofAML in 2010 from JPMorgan. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Real Estate from Baylor University.
