Scott Smithhisler has over 35 years of international business experience. He joined U.S. Bank in May 2012 developing and delivering business need-based international trade solutions for mid-market and large corporate clients across the northwest United States. Scott works collaboratively with companies to help expand their business in global markets, optimize trade processes, lower risk, enhance efficiency and profitability.
Scott came to U.S. Bank from Nike, Inc. where for 25 years he served in a variety of leadership roles related to international trade and business development in Africa, Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. His areas of expertise include: market strategies, sales and distribution, supply chain process improvement, credit and trade finance, regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
Scott serves on the National Association of Credit Management Northwest Board of Directors and is active in a variety of international trade organizations. He enjoys bicycling, skiing, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
